Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The tool needs only six pieces of information: gender, birth date, general health level, tobacco status, how much death benefit you want, and how long you want the coverage. A name, phone number, and email are only requested if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are quotes from each carrier for the underwriting tier you picked. Your actual rate comes later, after underwriting is complete, and could go up, down, or stay the same depending on what the carrier confirms. This site shows estimates only; nothing here guarantees a price, qualifies you, or commits to coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name into the application form, which gets created based on the exact quote you chose, then you're taken to the secure application system. If needed, you can leave and come back to finish later, and you'll electronically sign everything. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), shepherds the whole process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier, what amount, and your answers. A growing number of carriers offer quick decisions without a medical exam for eligible applicants; the quote for each product indicates whether an exam is required, may be requested, or isn't necessary.

Is a longer term better?

The right term depends on when you'll stop needing the protection. Pick a term that covers the years when losing your income would hurt your family most: a mortgage you're paying, kids at home, student loans, or company debt. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years but cost more each month. Our quote tool lets you check all term lengths—10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years—in one look.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for contact information, we don't transfer or sell visitor data, and we use measurement that doesn't require cookies. See our privacy policy for specifics on what we measure and how it works.
